How It Feels to Be a Teacher for an Entire Day

Many people think that a teacher’s entire day starts at 8:00 AM and ends around 3:00 PM when the kids go home. Little do they know! According to a survey in the Washington Post by the chief academic officer for Scholastic, teachers actually work an average of 53 hours a week… AVERAGE! That doesn’t even include the hours we spend in our free time prepping and looking for new ideas! Step inside our shoes for a day, this is just a sneak preview of how it feels…

6:00 AM (if you’re lucky) – Open your eyes and contemplate life for a moment in bed…
