Dear Bored Teachers, I’m a teacher and I want to start selling feet pics online. I’ve heard some people make up to 10K/month. As a single mom already juggling two jobs, this sounds like a no-brainer. I’ve heard of teachers getting fired for doing this, and I don’t know how I feel about it. Technically, there’s no way of ever knowing whose feet they are, so there shouldn’t be a way my school would ever find out. Do you think it’s OK?

Dear Anonymous,

$10K a month, you say?

So, how attractive do your feet have to be?

Are callouses allowed?

Why did I not hear about this side hustle when I was younger?

All joking aside, I really don’t see a problem with posing for feet pictures. These types of photographs have been around for a while and are perfectly legal. There are many content creators that sell foot pictures for the purpose of advertising products and showing effective foot care. There is a whole market out there for feet and hand pictures.

This type of content is in demand by society, and no one has called for its ban.
Your intentions are artistic, and you can’t help what purposes other people have for the pictures. We all are aware that some people do have “other purposes” for these pictures.
The website Feetfinder and other platforms will allow you to sell pictures anonymously, so there would probably not be an issue with anyone finding out unless you share this information.

Some things to keep in mind about a side hustle

Keeping that in mind, please review your contract to make sure what it says about outside jobs. Private schools have their own set of rules, and there are a lot of gray areas that may be misinterpreted in regard to morality.

Also, the real question here is, “How are you going to feel about doing this?” Although this is a perfectly legitimate way to make money, it seems you may have some internal moral struggles going on. If you do not, I say go get a pedicure and start posing. If you do and your conscience is going to be a problem for you, the money may not be worth the guilt.

Sincerely,

Bored Teachers
